Product Standards Developed with STG’s Participation
STG has made notable achievements in standard establishment, having participated in the drafting of multiple key standards. Specifically, we participated in drafting the national standard Eye and Face Protection—Emergency Shower and Eyewash Equipment, defining the technical requirements and guidelines for use. We have also contributed to the development of Design Specification for Emergency Shower and Eyewash System in Petrochemical Industry, offering standardized guidance to the industry. Furthermore, we have participated in drafting several parts of the national standard Safety of Machinery—Permanent Means of Access to Machinery, including Part 1: Choice of fixed means and general requirements of access and Part 2: Working platforms and walkways.

ABOUT STG
Located in the Sizao Town Industrial Park, Dongtai, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, Yancheng STG Safety Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “STG” or “we”) operates a factory specializing in the production of eyewash equipment, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. We offer 13 major product lines that comprise over 3,000 models. Furthermore, we have established an eyewash R&D center dedicated to the research and development of new products, with the aim of maintaining STG’s position in the mid-to-high-end eyewash market.

On January 7, 2025, at the Chinese Academy of Standardization, a group of leading experts from China’s top design institutes convened under the chairmanship of Director Guo Dehua of the Academy to discuss the GB 38144-202X standard, “Eye and Face Protection—Emergency Shower and Eyewash Equipment.” This meeting marked STG’s first spray-and-wash eyewash device symposium for 2025. The experts offered numerous insightful comments and recommendations on the standard, and STG was honored to participate. STG’s participation in this meeting underscores the company’s strong technical capabilities and widespread recognition. We manufacture and market high-end, premium-quality spray-and-wash eyewash products, firmly rejecting low-cost, substandard alternatives.

Announcement of the Winning Bid for the Public Tender of Eyewash Stations for the 650,000-ton-per-year Phenol-Acetone Project, Phase I of the C3 Carbon Industry at Jiangsu Ruiheng, undertaken by the Fourth Company of Sinochem Second Construction Group Co., Ltd.: The winning bidder is Yancheng Strongge Safety Equipment Co., Ltd. At the time, the bidders for the eyewash stations in this project were Yancheng Strongge Safety Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Bohua Security Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Da’ao Safety Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., and Hubei Wan’an Environmental Protection Petrochemical Equipment Co., Ltd. Among them, Hubei Wan’an Environmental Protection Petrochemical Equipment Co., Ltd. submitted the highest bid, while Shanghai Bohua Security Equipment Co., Ltd. offered the lowest price; the latter has consistently maintained very competitive pricing for its eyewash station products.

“The cameras in the explosion-proof areas of the plant are not explosion-proof; the wiring for the electric fans in the explosion-proof zones of the repackaging workshop is not explosion-proof; and the installation of the sprinkler eyewash stations in the production workshops is non-compliant... These seemingly minor details in workplace safety pose significant safety hazards for hazardous chemical enterprises!” On May 24, 2021, reporters learned from the Xiegang Sub-bureau of the Dongguan Municipal Emergency Management Bureau that, in order to urge hazardous chemical enterprises within its jurisdiction to strengthen safety precautions, intensify the identification and remediation of workplace safety risks, and effectively prevent accidents involving hazardous chemicals, the Xiegang Emergency Management Sub-bureau recently convened a warning and admonitory meeting on workplace safety with enterprise representatives. Lu Lin, Deputy Secretary of the Xiegang Town Party Committee, and Zhu Jinqiang, Director of the Emergency Management Sub-bureau, personally held talks with the heads of four hazardous chemical enterprises in the area that had been found to have the aforementioned safety hazards, urging them to carry out rectification within a specified time frame. During the meeting, the heads of the four companies subject to the admonition each made statements on the spot, acknowledging that inadequate assignment of responsibilities among internal staff and insufficient self-inspection of potential hazards had led to oversight of safety risks during production. Following reflection and self-criticism, the companies immediately implemented corrective measures to eliminate these hazards. Director Zhu Jinqiang told reporters that the four companies under admonition primarily exhibited the following safety hazards: cameras in the plant’s explosion-proof areas are not explosion-proof; the wiring for electric fans in the explosion-proof zones of the repackaging workshop is not explosion-proof; the backup power supply for combustible gas detectors is malfunctioning; personnel on duty in the fire control room are unfamiliar with operating procedures; and the installation of eyewash stations in the plant’s production workshops is non-compliant…

Eyewash station quality varies. On May 11, 2021, the Hangzhou Municipal Emergency Management Bureau imposed penalties on Hangzhou Xinyue Packaging Technology Co., Ltd. for using two non-explosion-proof fans in areas with explosive gas atmospheres and for having a damaged emergency shower and eyewash station outside the warehouse that was no longer functional.
