- Commodity name: Electric Trace-Heated Composite Eyewash Station
This is a composite eyewash and shower unit designed for low-temperature environments. Compared with standard models (5–38°C), antifreeze models (-5–38°C), and heat-resistant models (T > 38°C), it boasts the broadest temperature operating range, spanning from -38°C to 38°C, ensuring stable operation even in extremely cold conditions and preventing pipeline freezing.
Heating Traced Cable Type Emergency Eyewash and Shower is a composite eyewash and shower unit designed for low-temperature environments. Compared with standard (5–38°C), antifreeze (−5–38°C), and heat-resistant (T > 38°C) models, this unit offers the broadest temperature operating range, spanning −38 to 38°C, enabling stable operation in extremely cold conditions and preventing pipeline freezing. The equipment is installed directly on the floor at the work site, integrating both eyewash and shower functions. Upon activation, it triggers an audible and visual alarm and transmits a signal to the DCS system, thereby meeting emergency response requirements in chemical processing and other settings where chemical splashes pose a risk.
Product Features:
1) Ultra-wide temperature compatibility
The temperature adaptation range is –38°C to 38°C. Compared with standard and antifreeze eyewash stations, this model ensures that the piping remains unfrozen even in extremely cold environments, thereby meeting emergency needs in ultra-low-temperature scenarios such as winter operations in northern regions and polar expeditions.
2) Dual-function integrated design
Combining eyewash and shower functions in one unit, the push-type eyewash station delivers a flushing flow rate of ≥11.4 L/min, while the pull-type shower station provides a flushing flow rate of ≥76 L/min, enabling effective response to chemical splashes on the eyes and face, as well as on the body and clothing.
3) Corrosion-resistant material assurance
Key components such as spray nozzles, eyewash elbows, and valve bodies are all made of SS304 stainless steel, offering excellent chemical corrosion resistance and compatibility with potable tap water as the flushing fluid, thereby preventing secondary contamination.
4) Explosion-proof safety configuration
The junction box, audible and visual alarm, electric heat tracing cable, and other components are all explosion-proof, with an explosion-proof rating of Exd IIC T6/Exe IIC T6 and an ingress protection rating of IP66, making them suitable for use in flammable and explosive environments such as chemical processing and oil and gas extraction.
5) Intelligent Alarm Interlocking
When the eyewash or shower function is activated, an audible and visual alarm is automatically triggered, and a switch signal is transmitted to the DCS system, enabling on-site personnel to respond promptly and coordinate rescue operations.
6) Convenient Installation and Transportation
The inlet and outlet are equipped with standard industrial flanges, and the base is fitted with a robust SS304 mounting bracket for direct connection to on-site piping. The units are packaged in wooden crates, with two units per package, facilitating bulk transportation and on-site installation.
Application scenarios:
- Chemical plant areas in severely cold northern regions: To address splashes of chemical materials such as hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, electric heat tracing ensures that pipelines do not freeze during winter.
- Oil and gas extraction and refining sites: Explosion-proof design prevents electrical sparks from causing accidents and provides emergency shower facilities for workers.
- Low-temperature laboratory and pharmaceutical workshop: Designed to handle liquid nitrogen and low-temperature reagent splashes, with stable temperature adaptability to ensure normal equipment startup.
- Polar Outdoor Operations Base: Provides on-site rinsing and protection for personnel operating in extreme low-temperature environments, such as polar scientific expeditions and mining operations within the Arctic Circle.
